Report:
The National Service for Agri-Food Health, Safety and Quality, through the Plant Health Directorate, informs on the progress on the phytosanitary actions for the eradication of the outbreak of Ceratitis capitata Weidemann. Up to May 16 of this year, an approximately 855 traps have been set, applications of Spinosad bait sprays in 795 hectares of the regulated area has been done and 2335 bait stations set. Based on this and according to the International Plant Protection Convention standards, Ceratitis capitate (Wiedemann) is considered a quarantine pest, transitory, actionable and under eradication in Mexico.
