These Pest Reports are intended to comply with the International Plant Protection Convention's Standard on Pest Reporting, endorsed by the Interim Commission on Phytosanitary Measures in March 2002.

Report: April 10, 2008. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency recently updated the areas in Ontario that are regulated for Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). There are currently seven areas regulated by Ministerial Order for EAB: Dutton County, Elgin County, Essex County, the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, Lambton County, Middlesex County, and The City of Toronto.

Under IPPC Standards (e.g., ISPM No. 8), EAB is considered present (only in some areas of Ontario) and subject to official control in Canada.
